Curious...

The words ‘Get Curious‘ are a key training phrase in mindfulness. It’s an invitation to just allow our present moment difficulties and with a gentle breath to look deeply into them with curiosity and self-care rather than to resist or avoid them.

I am offering a series of introductory meditation classes titled Experiencing the Beauty Within which review the Four Foundations of Mindfulness – all the basic workings of meditation to get you started. The series will begin this February, 2026 in a live online format on Tuesday evenings and is offered in the spirit of dana for whatever it is worth to you.

Given the events of the modern world, it is essential to learn to better understand and befriend your mind instead of automatically continuing habits that only sap positive energy into apathy or despair.      

Instead we can develop positive, supportive habits, such as a daily meditation practice as well as learning to let go of what is out of our control and instead focus on steps we can take.   That’s the only way that the benefits can be there for you in working with what comes up day to day in Life.  Meditation is a teachable skill that has been passed down for over three millennia and developing this skill is a basic act of self-kindness.   

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today, I am wise, so I am changing myself.
